TRIUMPH's Boxing Program

 

The soul mission of our boxing program is the help the individual realize his or her potential and become a stronger, fitter and more confident person.

​

Our coaching staff is a team of experienced fighters with years of coaching experience and a track record of creating champions.  TRIUMPH is a positive environment that custom tailors classes for people of all levels. Whether you are brand new to the sport of boxing or competitive fighter, TRIUMPH is the right gym for you. 

All classes focus on fundamentals but will also include:

  • Warm-up and proper stretching routines

  • How to properly wrap your hands

  • Boxing fundamentals and basics

  • Rounds on the heavy bag and speed-bag 

  • Jumping/skipping rope and shadow boxing

  • Coaching for competition

  • Nutritional coaching

  • One-on-one focus mitt drills 

  • Sparring, both technical and for competition

  • Other conditioning

What Are Classes Like?​

​

Our Boxing program at TRIUMPH is designed to give you the workout of your life. The one hour class incorporates many of the same elements as our boxing program except the training is geared towards fitness rather than competition.​

This high-energy class is done to fast paced music which will get your adrenaline pumping and help fuel your workout.

​A typical Boxing class includes:

  • Wrapping hands and warming up

  • 5 minutes of stretching

  • 8 to 10 rounds of work on the heavy bag mixed with jumping rope and shadow-boxing

  • 10 minutes of interval training with light weights or resistance bands

  • Core/abdominal routine

  • Cool-down and stretch

Why Should I Learn Boxing?​

​

When a new member walks into our gym they almost always say it has something to do with "being bored" of their current workout program. Apparently, there is only so much running on the treadmill and elliptical time that a person can handle. 

​

What we offer is different. We give people a chance to LEARN something new. All of our workouts are anything but boring, because we require our members to learn new techniques and engage their minds to develop a new skill.

What Makes Boxing Unique?

Boxing is a simple sport that takes a day to learn and a lifetime to master. It can be as simple, or as complex as you want to make it. That's what makes it special. Boxing becomes exactly what you want it to be. Just want to come in and blow off some steam by punching stuff? Great! Want to develop professional-level skills and perfect technique? Also great! Boxing is extremely versatile in what it can offer to those who practice it.

When you decide to choose Boxing as a sport, you are also walking into the most intense cardio training that is offered across all sports. From your feet to your forehead there is no part of your body that isn't used in each session. Boxing requires you to be well balanced, coordinated, as well as quick and strong. Each one of those attributes takes a long time to acquire, but is worthy of your time and attention.

Don't worry! You're in good company! Most of our members walk into our gym with little to no Boxing experience. We take considerable time to make sure that everyone feels welcome and safe in our gym. When you first come in, we will be sure to teach you the basics, and introduce you to how we run classes so that you are familiar with it before you jump in. 

​

We are also very team based, and open to newcomers. This means that whoever you are working out next to will help you out if you look like you're struggling with a technique. Struggling with the techniques we teach you are part of the program believe it or not.  We know that all the learning is worth it once it all starts clicking and making sense to you. There is a genuine sense of accomplishment when you hit each major milestone in the learning process.
